Amy Pascal Teases Spider-Man’s Future in the MCU
While fans will see Tom Holland suit back up for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, presumably, Avengers: Secret Wars, the future of the MCU’s web-slinger beyond that is murky.
Leading up to the release of Brand New Day, the prevailing notion has been that Marvel is kicking off a second Spider-Man trilogy.

On the other hand, however, Tom Holland is now 30 years old and may not want to play Peter Parker forever. In fact, the actor has publicly discussed passing the baton.
While it remains to be seen what Holland’s future holds, it doesn’t sound like the MCU will be bereft of Spider-Man anytime soon.
Amy Pascal Weighs In
In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, Amy Pascal, who has produced all of the Spider-Man films for Sony, confirmed that the plan is to keep working with Marvel Studios.

“Ever since we’ve been making Spider-Man movies with Marvel and the MCU, it has opened up a wealth of opportunity for us,” Pascal said. “Because in the comics, he does interact with all these characters. So that’s been a wonderful opportunity.”
Musing about Spider-Man’s future, Pascal admitted that she hopes to make another Tom Holland trilogy.

For now, however, she is taking things one film at a time.
“I never want to be so presumptuous as to say anything is going to be a trilogy or more than one. That would be my dream, of course, but you never know,” she continued.

“The truth is that the rule that we set for ourselves is to take it one movie at a time. It’s important to us that you don’t have to see one movie to see the other movie.”
What’s Next?
While it remains to be seen what the future holds for Holland, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is tracking toward a massive opening.

As Marvel’s most popular character, it is hard to imagine the MCU without Spider-Man.
