While the Avengers: Doomsday trailer has already been watched millions of times, it wasn’t the only surprise Marvel had for fans. Fandango also released a new synopsis for the film.

“Universes collide and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday,” the logline reads. “Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. This epic film will lay the foundation for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
The First ‘Doomsday’ Poster Has Arrived
Alongside the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer and synopsis, Marvel also debuted a new poster for the upcoming film.

The ominous new image features Doctor Doom standing with his hands folded in front of a tapestry.
The artwork appears to focus on a woman and child standing above the world.
A closer inspection shows that they are surrounded by angels and clouds.

Interpreting the image, it seems fairly clear that Doom is mourning the loss of his wife and child.
That would also fit with the father-and-daughter motif established in the Captain America and Thor Avengers: Doomsday teasers.

Doom’s grief will seemingly propel his actions in Avengers: Doomsday.
