The Molyneux Sisters to Write an R-rated DEADPOOL 3
The Bob’s Burgers writers will put together a delicious script for the Merc with a Mouth! Deadpool 3 has found its writers in sisters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin, a writing team with plenty of delicious comedic experience thanks to their work on the FOX animated series Bob’s Burgers.
Maybe this means Guac Hudson is character 8,001 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Or is it the Deadpool Cinematic Universe?

Deapool 3 Cinematic Molyneux-verse Moves Forward
Deadline broke the news about the project moving forward with writer meetings taking place over the last couple months. Ryan Reynolds, who is heavily involved with development of Deadpool’s character from the page to the big screen, was at several of these meetings. According to Deadline‘s sources, Reynolds sees the the Molyneux sisters take on the franchise as the perfect fit for the character’s development.
Deadline also reported that the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch, already has a full slate in 2021, suggesting a new director may be taking the helm for the third entry in the Merc with a Mouth’s movie franchise.
Ryan Reynolds the Merc with a Mouth
While there may be many changes afoot as Wade regenerates in the wake of the acquisition (not merger) of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company on March 19th, 2019, the Merc’s mouth isn’t one of them.
When it comes to Deadpool’s character, Reynolds (a.k.a Twitterpool) has been more than an actor putting on ninja Spider-Man pajamas. He has been a strong proponent for the character and the movie in general.

And the acquisition of Fox by Disney gave Reynolds yet another opportunity to show off how much of a True Believer he is when it comes to Wade Wilson. He even tweeted a picture of Deadpool after Wade earned his ears and headed to Disneyland on the very day Fox became part of Disney.

Hit Mouse: The Merc Keeps His Mouth
Many fans who enjoyed the R-rated Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018) feared that the acquisition would mean that Wade’s sharp edges would be sanded off by the House of Mouse, leaving a PG-13 version of the character instead of the salty, silver-tongued sword-wielder we’ve all come to know and love.
Luckily, those fans needn’t worry! The article also reports that Deadpool 3 is likely to continue the tradition of the first two movies. It will carry an R-rating. Well, hopefully, if Deadpool ends up in WandaVision‘s Westview, he might have some trouble with his brand of crime comic and the Comics Code Authority.
Even if the character’s tone changes in the upcoming movie, it might still be pretty darn good! Once Upon a Deadpool, an edited PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 released in time for the whole family to enjoy during the 2018 holiday season, was very funny, using censorship gags and Princess Bride parodies to make up for the lack of curse words. Maybe we can get two versions of Deadpool 3, too!
