Marvel Studios inadvertently confirmed that Hawkeye would begin filming in New York City on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, earlier this week. Residents of Brooklyn deduced that Marvel Studios would start filming their latest TV project when they received notices that their neighborhood would shut-down for filming a series named “Anchor Point.” Thank you, MCU fans who live near the filming locations, for alerting the rest of us to this exciting news!
Kate Bishop and Lucky in Brooklyn
New set footage gives fans a first look at Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton. It also gives fans a first look at what appears to be Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop on location in a New York subway. The footage also confirms what was suspected; Hawkeye has begun filming.
Marvel and Disney+ already established that Renner would be reprising Clint Barton for the upcoming Marvel TV series. And “(the other) Hawkeye” tweeted his excitement to begin whatever the next chapter of the MCU has in store for his character, saying, “Ms Bishop … we need you ! #marvel.”

Steinfeld was reportedly offered the role of Kate Bishop – who, in the comics, is also Hawkeye – however, it has not been officially confirmed by the studio. But with the new set videos and photos released today, the actress is identifiable, seemingly confirming that Steinfeld will be playing Kate Bishop.
In the leaked set video, fans see Kate Bishop and Lucky descending a flight of stairs alongside Clint Barton as a train approaches. According to Murphy’s Multiverse – who leaked the video – the footage from the Brooklyn subway set shows Renner’s Barton, Steinfeld’s Bishop, and Lucky the Pizza Dog running down the stairs through the subway.
Edward Baker, the fan who took the video, confirmed for Murphy’s Multiverse that the actress running around in the video was Steinfeld. Later in the day, the website showed another video that all but confirms the actress is playing Kate Bishop.

C’mon Lucky: A Good Boy That Likes Pizza
MCU fans first saw Lucky in the concept art featured on Expanding the Universe on Disney+. And confirmation of the cute pup’s inclusion in the Hawkeye show hints that the series might be an adaption of a specific storyline from the comics.
In 2012, Matt Fraction (writer), David Aja (artist), Matt Hollingsworth (colorist), and VC’s Chris Eliopoulos‘ Hawkeye run first introduced Lucky (or Arrow) to fans. In the comic run, Clint Barton and Kate Bishop team-up to stop the Tracksuit Mafia (and save an unlucky, but soon to become lucky, dog from abuse). When the dog survives, Clint Barton gives him the name Lucky. The dog was such a fan-favorite that, before long, the popular canine got more and more panel time dedicated to his point of view.
We learn that Lucky loves two things more than Clint Barton – PIZZA and Kate Bishop. So, who is Kate Bishop? I will let Clint Barton tell you himself.
I am deeming myself the inaugural member of Team Lucky the Pizza Dog. You know, for all the times the two HOOMAN heroes fail to give him credit for saving their butts! Lucky saves the day on more than one occasion in the comics. The live-action counterpart will probably be a canine superhero too!
