Is the Disney+ Loki series inspired by the VOTE LOKI?
Loki cast and crew received wrap party gifts hinting at a possible storyline for the Disney+ series, and it looks like Loki Laufeyson (Tom Hiddleston) is destined for greatness. America is nothing if not the land of opportunity. And, once again, it looks like Loki is intent on bringing freedom to the citizens of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! VOTE LOKI!
A photo surfaced on the internet yesterday of the wrap party gifts received by the cast and crew of the upcoming Disney+ Loki show, featuring a mug and a patch. And each gift includes some tantalizing details about possible storylines for the highly anticipated series.
BELIEVE: VOTE LOKI Wrap Party Swag
Reddit user U/Zachindes shared an image of the mug the cast and crew got at the wrap party. And the mug includes the art and slogan from Tradd Moore’s cover of the first issue of Vote Loki (2016), a miniseries from Marvel Comics by Christopher Hastings, Langdon Foss, Paul McCaffrey, Chris Chuckry, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Travis Lanham, running from June 2016 through September 2016.
In Vote Loki, comic book readers saw Asgard’s most morally ambiguous Royal Family member taking to the campaign trail in a story that provided contemporaneous satire for the 2016 United States Presidential election.
Meanwhile, the patch is burdened with a meaningful phrase, as well: Team Digital Glorious Purpose, referencing a line from the anti-hero’s show-stopping appearance in 2012’s The Avengers. If you aren’t sure which line, please do yourself a favor and re-watch the film, while you wait for Loki to be released next spring.
The Avengers is currently streaming on Disney+.
Loki’s Adventures Begin in Marvel’s 616
If you still find yourself eager for more Loki while you wait for his streaming series, consider checking out episode five of Marvel’s 616 on Disney+, “Suit Up!” This documentary, directed by Andrew Rossi (7 Days Out, After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News), follows several cosplayers as they assemble their outfits and attend NYCC 2019.
Hey fun fact, one of the Lee Garbett Agent of Asgard Loki covers is based on a photo of my original helm before I redesigned them. (This has been confirmed by him – I'm not reaching) pic.twitter.com/fpdb7eQuOT

The episode features toy designer and cosplayer Marcy Schwerin, who shows off their impeccable Loki cosplay during the episode (not to mention their mystifying Dr. Strange cosplay, which is somewhat relevant since Loki was Sorcerer Supreme once in the comics).
Who else is looking forward to the Loki series on Disney+? Will you be checking out the Vote Loki comic on Marvel Unlimited while you wait for it?
