Teyonah Parris Confirms WandaVision Is After Endgame
Teyonah Parris – who portrays Geraldine/Monica Rambeau on WandaVision – confirmed in a recent interview with TV Line that the series takes place after the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. In addition, Parris reconfirmed that Monica Rambeau would appear in the Captain Marvel sequel.
So… I guess that must mean that Geraldine gets her memory back sometime after the second episode of WandaVision.
WandaVision Happens After Avengers: Endgame
Parris explained that, “[WandaVision] picks up right after the events of [Avengers:] Endgame, and for Monica, it’s obviously years later from when we saw her as a girl in Captain Marvel,” and later adding that as the series unfolds, viewers will “get to find out what’s been happening with her over those years that we missed, how she’s grown and evolved.”
However, until the sitcom veil is lifted on the WandaVision-verse, and fans get to see what is really going on in Westview, it’s unclear what happened to Geraldine Monica since we last saw her – and why she doesn’t she know who she is?
Vision’s Body Bag Shoulda Been in Avengers: Endgame
Perhaps, fans would have more answers about what happened after Endgame if that post-credit scene hadn’t been scrapped. In a recent interview with IMDb video, Paul Bettany, who portrays Vision in the Disney+ series, revealed that the blockbuster originally had a scene that teased the android’s return to the MCU, despite dying on-screen in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.
Bettany explained in the interview, “At one point there was going to be a tag where [Wanda] opened a sort of body bag drawer and there was The Vision. [Marvel Studios boss] Kevin [Feige] kind of talked to me and said, ‘I got to pull the shot.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh!’ I really wanted the profit participation.”
However, later on in the interview, Bettany added that he thought there was a slim chance he might return to his role. Lucky for us, he did! Although at the uncanny pace the series is going, it doesn’t seem like WandaVision won’t end happily for the couple. Sad face.
