Hailee Steinfeld Shared Kate Bishop’s Set Photos
Hailee Steinfeld shared photos of herself on-set as the titular Kate Bishop.
The forthcoming Disney+ and Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye series has officially begun production, with the show’s actors and crew on location for the last couple months. As filming continues, the cast routinely shares photos of themselves on set to foster hype. And the latest actor to join the fun with her own “nocking points” is Kate Bishop star Hailee Steinfeld.
Hailee Steinfeld Shares Set Photo
Steinfeld took to Instagram to share the latest photo of herself on set as Kate Bishop. In the image, the actress is inside what looks like a vehicle, resting her head on the window. And in a nice nod to Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel and Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda, Steinfeld’s tongue is out (A.K.A. the customary bad-a∗∗ woman pose).
Steinfeld, who appears to be in her Kate Bishop costume, captioned the Instagram image: “work/life. so grateful. i hope you all are safe and well.”
In the Hawkeye series, Steinfeld is playing Kate Bishop. Although we don’t know much about the plot of the series, it’s possible it will be based on the comics. Thus, it seems Steinfeld’s Bishop will be the protege of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s OG Hawkeye, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner).
Hawk Investigations Finds Latest MCU Series
In the comics, Kate Bishop, the reluctant daughter of a wealthy publishing magnet, is an archer, hero, and gumshoe extraordinaire. After being kidnapped, and then saved by Barton and the Avengers, she decides to join the super hero team. Although after becoming disillusioned with Barton’s antics, she leaves for the West Coast, and starts her own life.
Bishop earns her private investigator license, kinda like Jessica Jones, once she arrives in the City of Angels. And she is good at her private eye job, even saving Barton one or two times. So, Bishop is often enlisted by Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (and the general public) to find the latest sleazeball terrorizing the city.
So far, we don’t know if the Hawkeye series will follow its comic counterpart. However, reportedly, Steinfeld is already signed on for multiple projects with Marvel Studios. Although what those projects are still hasn’t been announced, many fans are speculating that it means the Young Avengers are coming to the MCU.
With the addition of Tommy Maximoff (Jett Klyne) and Billy Maximoff (Julian HIlliard) to WandaVision, more and more young heroes are joining the MCU. Do you think we will finally see the MCU’s Young Avengers? Let MarvelBlog know in the comments section below!
