Spider-Man: No Way Home, Third Movie Title Confirmed

Only yesterday we were all making into the multiverse jokes after the three stars of Spider-Man 3 made an uncoordinated attempt to release the title of the forthcoming film. But now, we have an actual title reveal for the third installment of the Spider-Man franchise by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, and it’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I guess it won’t be Home Slice, Phone Home, or Home-Wrecker, but then again, did we actually expect that to be the case after Tom Holland‘s famous spoiler-y slip-up about the title of the second Spider-Man film, 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Spider-Man Found His Way Home, Finally Titling the Movie Spider-Man: No Way Home

On February 24th, 2021, Marvel and Sony announced the official title for the forthcoming film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, in a funny video that pokes fun at Holland’s notorious loose lips. In the video below, you can catch an insider’s glimpse of where this confusion started between Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, leading to a talk with director Jon Watts.

As you can tell, the clip addresses why Holland needs to be kept in the dark about the title of the film he is starring in! Holland asks his co-stars, “Name me one thing I’ve actually spoiled!” To which, Zendaya responds, “The last movie title?”

Holland is somewhat notorious for spoiling major plot points – plus, forthcoming movie titles – in the Marvel Multiverse. Although, to be fair, he isn’t as bad as his Avengers: Infinity War co-star Mark Ruffalo. But whether or not he is better at keeping secrets than his co-stars is beside the point, Holland is truly endearing when he accidentally slips up.
