Simu Liu Becomes a Gray Jedi at Star Wars: Galaxy Edge
The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, officially reopened last month on April 30th, 2021, and on June 4th, 2021, the highly-anticipated Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park will be opening. Although few have set foot onto the training grounds of Avengers Campus, celebrities and some other super-heroic folx have already gotten a sneak peak at the new Land, including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu.
As reported by ComicBook.com, on May 13th, 2021, Liu took to Instagram to share some photos of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and gave a little tease about Avengers Campus.
Simu Liu Visits the Happiest Place on Earth
Before starting his whirlwind press tour for Shang-Chi – well, probably – Liu took time away from his busy schedule drinking milk and training to be a hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to pay a visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth.” According to Melissa Roden at MickeyBlog, the actor took time share a few Jedi-tastic moments at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and was also treated to a sneak peek of the Avengers Campus.

The caption on Liu’s Instagram post says:
Consider this our @StarWars audition 😉 Took some of my best homies to Disneyland, got a PRIVATE TOUR of Avengers Campus, was one of the first to ride the new Spider-Man Web Slingers ride, got dressed up at Galaxy’s Edge, built lightsabers, gorged ourselves on turkey legs and beignets… and overall had the most incredible day to end off over two weeks of working without weekends. Best day with the best people. There’s absolutely nothing better.
(Shoutout to our amazing tour guide Nataly for planning out our trip and nerding out with us!).

Simu Liu’s Star Wars Audition(s)
Liu and his friends are auditioning for the next Star Wars film, at least according to his social media posts (and it’s not like this would be the first time a MCU actor has crossed over into the Star Wars universe, here’s looking at you Samuel L. Jackson).

In the past, Liu has said that one of his dream gigs is to be a character in the Star Wars universe. According to an article form ScreenRant.com, when the actor appeared on Gary Whitta‘s Animal Talking show, he discussed his dreams of becoming a Gray Jedi, “neither Jedi nor Sith.”
Plus, as dedicated fans of the Shang-Chi actor already know, this is not the first time he’s showcased his love for a galaxy far, far away on social media. But if you haven’t seen these auditions for the first Gray Jedi to appear on screen, then check out these Twitter posts from Liu’s official account below:
