SIMU LIU Channels Mobius M. Mobius
In a Tweet sent on Friday, July 2nd, 2021, Simu Liu paid homage to Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius by posting a picture of himself on a Jet Ski.

“Just out here living Mobius’s dream life,” Liu, who is headlining the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, captioned the image. Was Shang-Chi supposed to be on that jet ski, not Mobius M. Mobius? Is that the late analyst’s Nexus Event?
Jet Skis and Paradoxes
The jet ski joke is paying homage to Loki, the currently ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe series on Disney+.
On the show, Mobius is a straight-laced agent of the Time Variance Authority. But in the second episode, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) successfully coaxes some personal information out of Mobius: he has an affection for the Jet Ski, a one- or two-person water sports vehicle that is propelled along the surface of a lake (or other body of water) with a propeller.

In Loki, we have seen several magazines advertising Jet Skis, and many viewers are hoping we’ll get to see Mobius using a Jet Ski on the Sacred Timeline before the season has concluded.
However, if you are looking for images of Liu enjoying a Jet Ski, well, those dreams have already been answered! In fact, Liu even returned to Twitter to send another image of himself enjoying some fun on the water this holiday weekend. Let’s hope wherever Mobius is, he’s doing the same!

Shang-Chi vs. the Time Variance Authority
We know Shang-Chi is probably going to be an Avenger, but we still feel like taunting the TVA is a bad idea, Marvel Blog True Believers! Will we be seeing a Shang-Chi Variant behind apprehended by the Minutemen for abuse of Jet Skis on the Sacred Timeline in the penultimate episode of Loki?
We’ll be tuning in on #LokiWednesday to find out, Marvel Blog True Believers… won’t you? Let us know what you’re thinking in the comment section!
