Stream ‘Moneymaker: Behind the Black Widow’ Stunt Doc
In the new E60 Presents – Moneymaker: Behind the Black Widow documentary, now streaming on ESPN+, you can learn all about the woman who has been behind Black Widow’s stunts since the character first appeared in Iron Man 2 (2010): former UCLA gymnastics champion Heidi Moneymaker!
The Moneymakers
Moneymaker has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for more than ten years, having been a part of Natasha Romanoff’s performance since she first appeared on-screen. For this reason, she is the perfect fit for the latest entry in ESPN’s E60 profile series.
A national champion gymnast, Moneymaker was born to play the role of a superhero. Her superhero counterpart, Scarlett Johansson, narrates this documentary herself, truly giving the stuntwoman a chance to share her story.
And as is befitting for Black Widow, this is a family affair, Marvel Blog True Believers: Heidi’s sister, Renae Moneymaker, is also a stuntwoman in the MCU, standing in for Evageline Lilly as the Wasp and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel (and you know that when the Jeep-toting Larson is calling in the stunt performers, things are getting serious)!
ESPN and Marvel
This is just the latest collaboration between ESPN and Marvel, which also held the Arena of Champions earlier this year, a contest that took place during a NBA game and could be viewed on ESPN2 (and we’re hoping to see more of these themed crowdcasts in the future).
And the most devoted Marvel Blog True Believers know that ESPN and Marvel have had many other collaborations over the years, including an earlier documentary short starring the Moneymakers themselves!
Will you be checking out E60 Presents – Moneymaker: Behind the Black Widow on ESPN+? Have you secured your tickets to see Black Widow in theaters this Friday, July 9th, or will you be streaming it on Disney+ with Premier Access?
