Cry Havoc & Let Slip the Star Wars’ Vehicles of War
In a series of Tweets sent on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, the official Marvel Twitter account unveiled a series of variant covers that will adorn some of the books in the ongoing War of the Bounty Hunters Marvel Comics crossover event: the vehicles of war!

Behold the Vehicles of War
It is not at all uncommon for Marvel Comics to have “variant cover series,” or a set of multiple variant covers that all fit into a certain theme.
For example, one of my favorite variant cover series from the 616 is the Hip-Hop Variant series, which delivers variant covers depicting your favorite Marvel Comics superheroes recreating the most important hip-hop album covers of all time.

Now, six covers have been unveiled in a variant set that will adorn the September books in the War of the Bounty Hunters crossover event.

These variants feature the most important Star Wars bounty hunters in the ongoing story, which comes highly recommended, Marvel Blog True Believers.
The Gang’s All Here!
Featuring IG-88, Bossk, Valance, Dengar, Zuckuss, and (naturally) Boba Fett, this set of variant covers features portraits of the bounty hunters as well as depictions of their rides, in partial spaceship blueprint form.

In addition to the blueprint pictures, there are also copious notes on the diagrams, written in Aurebesh.
Aurebesh is the official language of the Star Wars galaxy, but don’t worry if you can’t quite translate it yourself: you can use the Star Wars‘ Datapad, available on the Disney Parks App, to quickly translate Aurebesh to English! Totally wizard!

Arriving in Autumn
The “Behold the Vehicles of War” variant cover set will arrive with the War of the Bounty Hunters books that will be released in September.
