Terry Blas Shows Off Custom REPTIL Action Figure!

In a tweet sent on Monday, September 13th, 2021, Marvel Comics writer Terry Blas showed off a truly scintillating acquisition: a custom-made Reptil action figure!

According to the tweet, the custom figure depicting Humberto Lopez, the eponymous hero of the Reptil series, was created by ZaccToys – you can visit their YouTube channel by clicking on this link and subscribe to learn all about the process of making this custom figure!

Celebrating Humberto Lopez

Blas is the writer behind Reptil, the ongoing Marvel Comics series (a fact of which the most devoted Marvel Blog True Believers will already be aware) that reintroduces Humberto Lopez to the Marvel fandom, and apparently, his work on the series has inspired creators from across the Internet.

Because Reptil has the ability to shapeshift into any dinosaur he can think of, the action figure features the character with saurian limbs and a tail. However, as readers of the series know, Reptil doesn’t like changing his head into dinosaur form, because it can affect his ability to retain his human identity. Luckily, however, when things get tough for Lopez, his family is almost always there to help out.

In fact, the “dinosaur configuration” adopted by the action figure Reptil matches the hero’s appearance on the main cover of Reptil #1!

This is the perfect time for the custom Reptil action figure to have arrived, considering Reptil #4 will arrive at your local comic shop (LCS) beginning on Wednesday next (September 22nd, 2021), which is just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month.
