The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
There is some important additional information about the upcoming Hawkeye series through this new trailer, Marvel Blog True Believers!
First of all, it looks like the family of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will be returning, including Linda Cardellini as his wife, Laura Barton. The plot follows Clint as he attempts to take his kids to see the Captain America musical in New York City during the holiday season… but he soon finds that they’re under attack!
One thing that is very clear from the trailer is the fact that the “Tracksuit Draculas” will be a big problem for both Clint and newcomer Kate Bishop (Hailee Stienfield).
If you’re curious to learn more about these villains (who just can’t stop saying “bro”), then you need to check out Hawkeye (2015) by David Aja and Matt Fraction (along with some other contributing creators over the course of the 23-issue run). In fact, the scenes in the trailer that depict Kate and Clint arguing over trick arrows even seems to indicate a particular issue of this run, Marvel Blog True Believers!
The whole 2015 Hawkeye run, which clearly serves as chief inspiration for the upcoming Disney+ series, is available to read right now on the Marvel Unlimited app.
Bullseye!
Are you going to be watching Hawkeye when the first two episodes arrive for streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021? Have you had a chance to read the Aja/Fraction run of Hawkeye on Marvel Unlimited?
