Cosmic Rewind
Cosmic Rewind is the upcoming Guardians-themed attraction which will not only feature Close reprising her role as the Xandarian leader, it will also feature the stars of the Guardians movies in their respective roles, as well.
On top of all this, the newly recorded footage will be directed by James Gunn, just like the footage included in Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park.
While we already knew the likes of Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) would be appearing in Cosmic Rewind, the addition of Close’s Nova Prime is especially exciting, as we haven’t seen her character on-screen since the first volume of Guardians of the Galaxy.
It was also confirmed that Cosmic Rewind will be opening in the summer of 2022, during the fiftieth anniversary celebration that will see Walt Disney World transforming right before the eyes of its delighted guests!
If you’re wondering what Cosmic Rewind will be like, it is described as a roller coaster with a scale that matches that of the Guardians movies, featuring the first reverse-launch ever for a coaster at a Disney park… and one of the longest indoor tracks anywhere in the world (or – let’s go ahead and assume – anywhere in the galaxy).
