Yelena in Hawkeye (2021)
While she wasn’t officially announced as a cast member ahead of the release of the series, it’s no surprise that Yelena has played a significant supporting role in Hawkeye after making her debut as the “last page reveal” in episode four of the series. After all, we knew she had Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) in her crosshairs thanks to the mid-credits scene from Black Widow earlier this year.
However, who could have anticipated the incredible chemistry Yelena would share with the World’s Greatest Archer, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld)? In the penultimate episode of the series, Yelena and Kate shared a girl’s night that included Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Kraft Dinner… Be still my heart!
It makes sense that Yelena is featured in this week’s character poster drop. After all, the charming super spy swiftly stole our hearts in Hawkeye season one episode five: in addition to her show-stealing scene with Kate, she also brought the news that Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) would be making it home for Xmas – tune in to Hawkeye’s season finale on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021!
