REVIEW: Spooky Attack in Spine-Tingling Spider-Man #6
In The Spine-Tingling Spider-Man #6 by Saladin Ahmed, Juan Ferreyra, and Joe Sabino, Peter Parker finally locates the source of the song that has been tormenting him in this ongoing Infinity Comic, which is available to read now on Marvel Unlimited.
Peter has traced the song to a very, very tall apartment building… but can he ensure the monster that attacked Aunt May is kept at bay?
Spine-Tingling Spider-Man #6
Just like the previous episodes in the Spine-Tingling Spider-Man Infinity Comic, this one takes great advantage of the scrolling format. Not only is it used to emphasize the height of the building that serves as the setting for this chapter of the story, but it also is used to convey the motion that takes place when the spook-tacular villain begins to chase Spidey up the spout skyscraper!
Another aspect of the art that goes very hard in this episode is the appearance of the super villain who Spidey is facing off against. Just like the other glimpses we’ve seen of this entity, he appears to be made out of… veins or something? I don’t know exactly, but it’s creepy looking, and that makes for great villainous visuals.
While this episode mostly concerns the battle between Spidey and his adversary, it is a very exciting action sequence that will keep you satisfied until The Spine-Tingling Spider-Man #7 arrives!
