Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the most beloved franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting a brand new face. And, it’s one that seems to be off to a fantastic start as James Gunn says Will Poulter is “killing it” as Adam Warlock.
James Gunn Takes the MCU to New Heights
One of the most influential directors in all of the MCU, Gunn has maintained near cult status for all of his entries into the lauded Marvel Universe.

With Guardians of the Galaxy, Gunn took the cinematic universe where it had never dared to go, with comedic chops that rival any MCU entry prior.
With its emphasis on character and its fantastic casting, Gunn may have created the most valuable franchise to the MCU and one that is coming to a head with 2022’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The third installment of the team’s MCU trilogy is set to bring the story of Peter Quill, Rocket Racoon, Drax, Gamora, Groot, and Mantis to a head, while also introducing some brand new characters into the mix.
With Chudwuki Iwuji‘s MCU debut still a mystery to fans, the one debut we are sure of is none other than Poulter taking on the long-awaited role of Adam Warlock — and the famed director seems very impressed.

Making no qualms about the casting, James Gunn says Will Poulter is “killing it” among other flattering remarks.
In an interview with ScreenRant.com, speaking of Poulter, Gunn stated, “He’s the best. He’s killing it. People are going to really love Adam — or love? They’re going to appreciate Adam Warlock, ill say.”
“He’s great, and Adam Warlock is great. I can’t wait for people to see it. But it’s a really rough shoot because it’s dark and deep and goes into all the characters,” added Gunn.

With Poutler’s performance being praised by the director, it is interesting for fans to ponder just what role Warlock will play in the third installment.
With the haunting promise of a dark and deep film, we can only expect the worst for our favorite intergalactic defending team of outlaws, especially now Warlock is in the mix (who is sometimes an antagonist to the team in the novels and comics).
