Disneyland’s Avengers Campus Adds Commemorative Plaque Honoring the Legacy of Stan Lee
One of the coolest developments in recent years was the construction and implementation of Disneyland’s brand new Avengers campus; an entity that wouldn’t exist without the imagination of one man, the theme park recently added a commemorative plaque that honored the legacy of Stan Lee.
There is no doubt that Marvel Studios’ vast and interconnected MCU has become one of the most beloved film franchises of all time, with its expansion over the last decade-plus creating a film universe that is one of the greatest endeavors the industry has ever seen.

Beloved characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Spider-Man have all become lynchpins in the cultural zeitgeist, and have established themselves as some of the most adored characters in modern media.
Not only have these various characters, and this expansive world, been established in some of the biggest films of all time, but it has also become one of the biggest additions to The Walt Disney Company’s vast Disneyland, in the brand new Avengers Campus addition at California Adventure.

Yet, with the beloved existence of these characters throughout the world of film, there is no denying that they were first crafted as some of the greatest creations in the history of the comic book industry; but perhaps more astoundingly, they were all brought to life by the imagination of one man.
That man is Stan Lee, and he still stands as perhaps the most influential person in comic book history, with his accomplishments in the world of Comic books on par with any individual dominance of any creative industry.

The plaque reads:
We dedicate Avengers Campus to the incomparable Stan Lee.
That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed wihtout a doubt a real superhero.
Thank you, Stan, for inspiring the hero within each of us. You have made us all, ‘True Believers.’

It is a fitting tribute for a man that had spent his entire life crafting this world that so many of us embrace, and adore, and it is without him that we would eft without the beautiful and brilliantly vibrant world of heroes that Marvel has become to many of us.
Thank you, Stan. For creating the magnificent world that so many of us have been able to inhabit within our imagination. And being the force that taught us all the beauty of heroism, and the power in all of us.
