Marvel Officially Announces the Brand New ‘Moon Knight’ Hero
With the action-packed finale concluding the fantastic new MCU series, Marvel has officially announced the brand new Moon Knight hero that made her debut in its final entry!
If you ask us, Moon Knight is the best Marvel series that has ever been produced; and it really isn’t all that close.
Handling some of the most mature themes that have ever been attempted by a Marvel Cinematic Universe project, the studio’s newest Dinsey+ project succeeded in bringing brevity and realism to a series that still maintained the heroism and scale of a typical MCU outing.
The story of Marc Spector made for one of Marvel’s most interesting character studies, and his struggle against dissociative identity disorder allowed the studio to dig into the realism of his very important affliction.
It was a circumstance only made more difficult by the fact that Spector was bound to a vengeful Egyptian deity named Khonshu, who granted him the powers of the vigilante named Moon Knight.
The series concluded with an epic finale episode that pit mythical beings against one another, and also presented one of the coolest additions to the series lore.

Layla El-Fouhly was one of the series’ most important, and interesting, characters, and the finale saw her bond to the Egyptian entity Taweret, to embrace a similar power that Spector had when he became Moon Knight.
In light of the series conclusion, Marvel has officially announced the brand new Moon Knight hero as the entity named the Scarlet Scarab.
The Scalet Scarab is a character from the comics- one who also sports the Fouhley name- but was altered for the live-action adaption, and presented as Layla and Taweret’s bonded form.
The change created a fantastic and compelling alteration to the character; one that forged her into the MCU’s first Egyptian superhero, and a character that can easily find her very own home in the vast and ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
