Disney CEO Confirms ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Release Date
One of the most mysterious and highly anticipated projects of the MCU’s Phase Four, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirms the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever release date.
With all of the incredible projects that have been released, and are set to release, in the fantastically well-received Phase Four, there is perhaps none that has existed with as much uncertainty and questions that surround Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2019 classic that is, to this day, the only Marvel Cinematic Universe film to be nominated for a Best Picture Award at The Oscars has been rumored to release at some point this year.
With delays and question marks surrounding the project, many have wondered if that release date is still feasible, a fear that was quelled by the man in charge of all things Disney.
Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, recently confirmed the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever release date; with the confirmation that it will release to audiences on November 11th.
With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness currently dominating the box office, and Ms. Marvel set to premiere on Disney+ in the next month, Marvel Studios has turned its eye toward the summer theatrical debut of Thor: Love and Thunder.
During the Disney Earnings Call (Reported by ComicBook.com) Chapek confirmed the release of several Disney and Marvel projects for this year; including the aforementioned Black Panther sequel.
Chapek stated, “Looking ahead, our studios will continue to deliver high-quality content at scale with an exciting array of series and films coming to all of our distribution channels.”
The CEO continued, “In fact, our slate for the remainder of this year is incredibly strong with titles like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ms. Marvel, Lightyear, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the long-anticipated Avatar: The Way of the Water.”
The film is one engulfed by questions, but with Ryan Coogler and company hard at work in defining what the title will be moving forward, it will be incredibly exciting to see how the MCU grows the Black Panther franchise
