New ‘Ms. Marvel’ Teaser Gives Best Look Yet at Kamala’s New Powers
With controversy surrounding that highly publicized change to the series title character, a brand new Ms. Marvel teaser gives us our best look yet at Kamala’s new powers.
It is not hyperbole to say that Kamala Khan has become one of the most beloved characters in the entire Marvel Universe.
With her starring role in the highly popular Avengers video game, coupled with the characters rising prominence in the comic book sphere, Kamala has firmly established herself as a fan-favorite Marvel hero on par with some of the company’s most important.
It is that adoration from a highly vocal fanbase that has caused some controversy recently, with fans being outspoken in their response to a recent change in the character; a change that fundamentally shifts her appearance in the comic universe, and her adaption into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Kevin Feige and the creative team at Marvel Studios changed the character’s powers from her ability to turn her body into a plastic playable material, to now her ability to create cosmic constructs from a wrist device.
It has been a hot-button topic for Marvel fans, one that both Feige and the character co-creator Sana Amanat commented on, in hope of quelling the uncertainty from fans.
That hasn’t been all that has been released to quell that fear and uncertainty, as a brand new Ms. Marvel teaser has given us our best look yet at Kamala’s new powers.
The teaser showcased the character growing her limb with this new cosmic-based power in order to catch a falling vehicle, with Kamala also being heard describing the power as “an idea come to life.”
Good is not a thing you are, it’s a thing you do.

It seems as though the power, although very different in how it comes to life on screen, will likely function a lot of the same way it did in the source material.
There will likely be a lot of nods to the comic books in how she uses her powers, but with a very different visual representation of what those powers are.
