There are few Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts that boast the level of excitement, and expectation that has been placed upon fan-favorite Marvel hero Kamala Khan.
After growing to become one of the most beloved and adored Marvel characters in recent years, it is finally time for the MCU to adopt her into their fast-growing film universe.
Defined by her adoration of the Marvel Universe, Kamala has become a character that fans have gravitated toward and connected to, as she so perfectly encapsulates a lot of what Marvel fans understand and identity with.
The brand new series is arriving very soon, and with the debut coming in just a few weeks, the first reactions for Ms. Marvel are here, and they are overwhelmingly positive, pointing toward yet another hit for the MCU.
A contributor to reputable sites like IGN, Empire Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Nerdist, Twitter user @lsirikul wrote on the arriving first two episodes and how much she adored the portrayal of Kamala in the direction of the series.
I've never loved a character like I do Kamala Khan. She's charismatic, smart, funny & adorable. Her family is so lovable. The dynamic is amazing. The animation & graphics are so fun. Into The Spiderverse vibes. Kamala Khan is going to be HUGE. I freaking love #MsMarvel so much. pic.twitter.com/qc3Nnpafft

She spoke of how charming and charismatic newcomer Iman Villani is as the eponymous character, and has said that a lot of the animation and graphic detail of the series is reminiscent of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Daily Mirror and Glamour Magazine contributor Unzela Khan also got her hand on the first two episodes of the series and echoed very similar praises for it.
Got the chance to watch the first 2 episodes of Ms Marvel before its release and I’m dying to watch the rest – Pakistanis, Muslims and South Asians will be SO pleasantly surprised 😭♥️ first time I’ve seen meaningful representation in a #Marvel film 🦸🏽♀️

Khan applauded the representation in the series and spoke highly of her incredible desire to continue watching the series while noting its importance in the diversity and inclusion efforts by Marvel Studios.
Film and Television writer Ashley Saunders also reviewed the series with an abundance of praise for what Marvel has achieved in his brand new story, touching on what has been a massive point of contention with fans, the alteration of Kamala’s powers.
#MsMarvel is EVERYTHING I wanted. Iman is PERFECT as Kamala. After two episodes, I can't wait to see what happens next.
For those worried about the power changes, it works & still captures the heart of who she is as a person & a hero. Also, can we have a REAL Avengers Con? pic.twitter.com/GatXf7wHCZ

Saunders called Iman a perfect choice for the role and insisted that the changes to her powers still capture the essence of what makes Kamala such a fantastic character.
Finally, perhaps the best of the first reactions comes from Cinema Stubs, which doesn’t just applaud the show from a technological and execution point of view, but says it succeeds in a very specific attempt.
First 2 episodes of #MsMarvel leave no doubt about the type of show this is. It's a show for those of us who grew up watching the #MCU and fantasized about having powers of our own. It's a coming of age story that works as a love letter to the genre.#MarvelStudios #DisneyPlus pic.twitter.com/d4HUmETJiw
