The ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Space Goats are an Elaborate Prank
One of the more interesting and little-known characters set to arrive in the upcoming fourth Thor film was apparently conceptualized as a practical joke from Taika Waititi, as the Thor: Love and Thunder space goats are apparently an elaborate prank.
There is no denying the brilliant comedic and visionary talent of both Taika Waititi and James Gunn; to directors that are in a league of their own as far as their nearly unmatched creativity, uniqueness, and willingness are concerned.
Gunn is clearly seated on the Mount Rushmore of Marvel directors, as his influence on the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise helped to mold the very foundation and fabric of the Marvel Cinematic Universes cosmic realm.
With every passing release, Waititi inches closer to establishing his influence in the same breathe, as his work on Thor: Ragnarok and the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder have firmly established him as among the most important voices behind the camera at Marvel.
As it turns out, the latter may have devised a plan to play a very interesting practical joke on James Gunn as the Thor: Love and Thunder Space goats may very well be an elaborate prank from the Thor director.
Chris Pratt, who reprises his role as Star-Lord for the upcoming Thor film, was asked about the inclusion of ToothGnasher and Tooth Grinder; the very loud, very obnoxious space goats that we’ve seen a bit of in various trailers.
Pratt said this, “We got space goats. I remember Taika was like, I won’t do his impression, but he just wanted to stick James with some goats. He was like, ‘I’ve rewritten the script, ate, and I decided to put some goats in there and see what he’s going to do with them.'”
Pratt concluded, noting, “So James has to pick up where Taika left off and he stuck us with some space goats.”
The space goats are a very interesting addition to the Thor: Love and Thunder team, ad it will be even more interesting to see what James Gunn does with the goats; assuming that they are now left with the Guardians prior to their third franchise film.
