First reported by ComicBook.com, the panel started with Marvel executive Jeff Trammel calling this Spider-MAn series a “dream” project, as he recounted watching everything from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends to the Spectacular Spider-Man in anticipation of the upcoming show.
Trammel went on to ensure that the upcoming series would be infused with all of the “fun, and heart, and charm of Peter Parker” that every Spider-Man animated series has been known for; which then led to the panel to show off various images.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year will include Nico Minuro of the Runaways, Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Cho, Harry Osborn, and more.

Perhaps one of the coolest things that were shown in the panel was the revelation that a lot of notable Marvel characters would be in the series, with Brandon Davis reporting that “Nico Minuro of the Runaways, Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Cho, Harry Osborn, and more” would be present.
The series was announced to be taking place before Captain America: Civil War and it was then revealed that villains such as “The Unicorn, Chameleon, Scorpio, Speed Demon, Tarantula, Butane, Carmella Black, and Otto Octavious” would be facing off against Peter Parker in his early years as Spider-Man.

Not only was it noted that Norman Osbourne would be Peter’s mentor in the series, but a second season titled Spider-Man: Sophmore Year was already greenlit by the studio, and set to follow the events of this first season.
The final reveal of the series is one of the most exciting, that Charlie Cox would be reprising his role as Daredevil, with the show set to arrive to audiences in 2024; which we cannot wait for!
Nahh this show may be a prequel but it’s for sure setting up Spider-Man 4?!
