It was easily among the most anticipated Marvel projects of the MCU’s Phase Four slate, and it is that anticipation that has led to its first footage nearly garnering a record amount of views as the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer was viewed 172 million times in 24 hours.

It is a number that stands among some of the most viewed trailers in Marvel’s history, ranking as the 5th most views that a Marvel trailer has gotten in the first 24 hours, sitting behind some of the most anticipated Marvel projects in the entire franchise slate.

The only Marvel film trailers that have gotten more views in the first 24 hours are Thor: Love and Thunder’s 209 million, Avengers: Infinity War’s 230 million, Avengers: Endgame’s 289 million, and Spider-Man: No Way Home’s astronomical 355 million views.
Although the film didn’t break the 24-hour record, it is certainly in good company, with it only being surpassed by some of the biggest Marvel films ever to be released, and some of the most anticipated Marvel projects ever to enter the MCU.
