Did ‘She/ Hulk’ Tease Potential World War Hulk for the MCU?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has officially welcomed their newest hero, and in an episode that featured plenty of Bruce Banner, we think there may have been a moment of foreshadowing; which leads us to ask, did She/ Hulk tease World War Hulk for the MCU?
Marvel’s newest MCU Disney+ series has finally arrived after months of anticipation, with Jennifer Walters officially joining the fray, and being welcomed into the vast and evergrowing collection of heroes that the Studio offers.
Walters has always been one of the most unique characters in Marvel’s comic book universe, and that doesn’t appear to be changing with her adaptation to the massive pantheon of MCU characters.
The premiere episode presented a lot of what makes Jennifer Walter such a beloved character, from her fourth-wall-breaking capabilities, comedic presence, and balancing act between her commitment to her life as a lawyer, to the responsibility she now faces to be a superhero.
The episode not only featured the introduction of Walters, however, it also featured plenty of Bruce Banner, with the hero helping her to better understand and come to terms with her newfound powers, that he had inadvertently given to her.
But there was a small moment in that premier episode between both characters that may have massive implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which leads us to ask the question; did the first episode of She/ Hulk tease World War Hulk for the MCU? Well, let us explain.
The first episode saw Walter first met her powers after an unknown alien spaceship forced their car to spin out of control, cascading off of a small hill and injuring both characters; and it was later revealed that the planet was none other than a Sakaarian spacecraft
With the episode focused on Walter’s transformation, a small throwaway line seemed to be Bruce acknowledging that it was, indeed, a Sakaarian Spacecraft and that he would eventually, “have to get to the bottom of that.”
This feels like Marvel planting a small seed that, eventually, the MCU will be forced to confront the time that Bruce spent on Sakaar prior to Thor: Ragnarok, likely building to an eventual World War Hulk project that focuses on Banner.
