Eisner-Award Winner Jeffrey Brown Writing a Marvel Children’s Book About a Thor-Family Vacation
There is no denying the unbelievable resonance of the Marvel universe to everyone from teenagers, to young adults, to even adults, but Marvel is now expanding to kids, as Eisner-Award Winning cartoonist Jeffrey Brown is writing a Marvel children’s book about a Thor-Family vacation.
Since 2008, the ascension of Marvel as a brand has been undeniable, with the company transitioning from being one of the bigger comic book publishers to one of the biggest entities in the world of entertainment.
It wasn’t just the comic books that never stopped being published, but it was the massive and ever-growing film universe known by fans as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was video games that brought these heroes to life in new ways; it was the constant evolution of what Marvel was.
And with teenagers, young adults, and adults getting all the Marvel content they could possibly handle, the publisher has now turned their sights on making these characters accessible to younger kids, as Eisner-award winner Jeffrey Brown is penning a Marvel children’s book.
Brown is one of the most well-known names in the world of children’s books, as he is a well recognizable cartoonist and writer whose signature style lends itself to the younger perspective and visual acumen of younger children, and he is putting that touch now towards some of you favorite Marvel heroes.
It was announced by Marvel.com that Brown will be constructing a brand new Thor- family vacation story called Thor and Loki: Midgard Family Mahem, that sees the entire Odinson family go on one big, messy, vacation.
The press release states, “This playful reimagining of the Marvel Universe finds Thor’s parents, Odin and Frigga taking their children- including the mischievous Loki- to their favorite realm: Midgard, AKA Earth. There, they will encounter all the wonders Midgard has to offer, as well as a few recognizable faces…”
The brand new title is set to release on April 18, 2023, from publisher Chronicle Books, and would be perfect for parents who want to introduce their children to this iconic character!
