Is ‘The Wolverine’ Set to Arrive on Disney+?
It is one of the most interesting Marvel films to be crafted, and it set the tone for one of the best comic book adaptations of all time, and with the movie set to leave HBO Max at the end of this month, we have to ask the question, is The Wolverine set to arrive on Disney+?
There is little argument to be made that comic book films as they are currently would cease to exist without the very real presence of the various X-Men films that exist, and first began in the 2000s.
These films set the tone for what comic book adaptations are, and most importantly what they could be, as they presented moviegoers with some of hte greatest comic book characters that the industry had ever seen.
The X-Men had long been some of hte most beloved Marvel heroes, and it was their story that presented a world that mirrored our very own- as this collective of mutants acted with clear inspiration taken on the very real civil rights movement that was taking place outside in the very real world.
The success of the team transferred over to the film world, and one of the most adored Marvel heroes, Wolverine, was front and center; with Hugh JAckman’s interpretation being beloved by fans for the more than a decade and a half he spent playing the role.
Now, it seems as though one of his best films is primed to arrive on the Disney exclusive streaming service, as after news broke that the film would be leaving HBO Max, many began to wonder if The Wolverine would arrive on Disney+.
It is a very real possibility, as the character and the universe are now owned by Disney, and it may well be set to join its other Fox X-Men titles on the new streaming platform.
