Marvel Stars Pay Tribute to Chadwick Boseman on the Fourth Anniversary of His Passing
Yesterday marked the fourth anniversary of the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman.
Having exploded onto the scene in 2020’s Black Panther, it looked like Boseman was set to become one of Marvel’s brightest stars. Then, he shockingly passed away following a private battle with colon cancer.
Boseman was just 43.
Lupita Nyong’o Posts a Tribute on Instagram
On the anniversary of Boseman’s passing, his Marvel colleagues took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor.

Lupita Nyong’o, who played Nakia opposite Boseman in Black Panther, posted a black-and-white picture of the late actor.
“‘Grief never ends. But it changes. It’s a passage not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith It’s the price of love.’ -unknown Remembering Chadwick Boseman. Forever,” she captioned the post.
James Gunn Posts Behind-the-Scenes Photo
Guardians of the Galaxy director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn also shared his own tribute to Boseman on Instagram.
The post featured two pictures: one of Boseman in his Black Panther uniform with Rocket Raccoon and a second of Chris Pratt, Gunn, and Boseman.

Since his passing in 2020, Boseman’s death has loomed large over the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also saw T’Challa pass away. The film would later be called a tribute to Boseman and a way to honor the actor’s lasting legacy.
