After ‘Agatha All Along’s’ Big Reveal, Joe Locke Can Finally Break His Silence

Episode 5 of Agatha All Along answered the driving question of the series thus far- who is Joe Locke’s Teen?

The big reveal came in the episode’s final moments when Teen finally had enough of Agatha. After being let down by the witch one too many times, Teen’s latent powers manifested as Agatha revealed that he was, in fact, Billy Maximoff.

Showing off a power that looked similar to Wanda’s magic, a blue crown suddenly materialized on Billy’s head. The teen then possessed Lillia and Jen and had them toss Agatha into the mud, which quickly swallowed her. Wiccan had arrived.

Joe Locke Can Finally Talk

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Joe Locke admitted to being nervous before Wednesday night’s big reveal.

“I’m in the U.K. The episode drops at 2:00 a.m,” he said. “I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep, so I’m just going to drug myself and then wake up to my phone blowing up, which it did.”

Locke, who has had to keep his character’s identity secret for two years, confessed that letting the cat out of the bag was strange.

“The thing that I’ve kept so secret, guarding it with my life is now just in the ether,” he continued.

THAT Moment

While Marvel fans have long assumed that Teen was Billy Maximoff, the revelation was still a shocking moment. According to Locke, that was showrunner Jac Schaeffer’s goal.

“You can do the most unsurprising thing in the most surprising way, and that’s how you hook an audience,” the actor said.

What Does the Future Hold For Wiccan?

With Wiccan finally unveiling himself, Locke says the stakes have been raised.

“The show starts getting real,” he explained. “The show starts with Billy being very much the familiar, the secondary to all the witches. Now we know he is also a witch, and that changes things. Also, we now know that he has the ability to cause harm to them. Therefore, he is now the most powerful person on the Road. What does that change in the dynamic of the group and how does that change the future of those relationships?”
