The First Trailer For ‘What If…?’ Season 3 Has Arrived

The Marvel multiverse will expand in new directions when What If…? Season 3 debuts on Disney+ this December.

Guided once again by The Watcher, audiences will be transported to alternate realities, where they will explore new worlds, transverse new genres, and meet up with some of their favorite heroes.

This time around, What If…? will follow the adventures of Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, Shang-Chi, Storm the Goddess of Thunder, and more.

Ahead of the season’s release, Marvel’s head of streaming, Brad Winderbaum, told the Official Marvel Podcast that it will feel like “the end of a trilogy.”

“It takes us to places that you’d never expect. And it goes beyond the first two seasons in its exploration of the multiverse,” Winderbaum said. “It pulls in characters that are very unexpected, and has what I think is an extremely moving and very fulfilling culmination for Uatu the Watcher.”

A New Trailer Has Arrived

Ahead of the new What If…? Season 3, Marvel has released a trailer for the upcoming series.

“To understand, you must learn to see,” The Watcher says in the new trailer, as images of newer Marvel heroes such as Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, and White Vision are shown.

Other featured heroes include Sam Wilson, The Red Guardian, and Moon Knight.

At the conclusion of the trailer, a trio of Watchers appear, menacingly declaring, “This is where your story ends.” When it looks like the heroes are in trouble, a Mjolnir-wielding Storm appears on the battlefield.
