Kevin Feige Teases Wanda Maximoff’s Return
One of the biggest questions hovering over the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the fate of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff.
While the Scarlet Witch and her uncertain fate permeated the WandaVision spinoff Agatha All Along, Wanda herself never appeared.

So does that mean we have seen the last of Olsen’s hero?
‘Agatha All Along’ Skirted Wanda’s Fate
Agatha All Along began with Agatha Harkness still under Wanda’s spell. Believing that she was a police detective in a procedural, Agatha was determined to find the identity of a murdered Jane Doe.
Eventually, it was revealed that the body was Wanda Maximoff.

While Agatha All Along seemed to admit that Wanda was dead right off the bat, the series’ unpredictable nature and Agatha’s unreliability kept fans guessing.
With the revelation that Teen was in fact Billy Maximoff, Wanda’s fate once again came to the forefront. After numerous illusions to Wanda’s fate, Billy finally asked Agatha if his mother was alive, Agatha quipped, “If you want a straight answer, ask a straight lady.”

When asked about the fate of Wanda, Agatha All Along creator Jac Schaeffer explained, “I think the word ‘gone’ is important. I was instructed to use the word ‘gone.”
Kevin Feige Weighs In
With the Marvel multiverse set to come together for the events of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, fans are convinced that we will see Wanda again.
In a recent interview with Omelete at D23 Brazil, Marvel head Kevin Feige was asked about Wanda’s potential return.

“We had Agatha All Along on Disney+ just now, and that series was great for us,” Feige said. “Since then, Many questions have remained in fans’ minds about Wanda… So, all I can say is we are excited to find out when and how Scarlet Witch can return.”
While Feige did not specifically state that Wanda would be back, he focused on the “when” and “how,” not the “if.”

By the sound of things, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will, in fact, return. However, what that means for Billy, Agatha, and the Marvel multiverse remains to be seen.
