Anthony Mackie Reveals What Chris Evans Thought of ‘Brave New World’
While Captain America: Brave New World may not have been the box office success that Marvel hoped for, Anthony Mackie’s performance as the new Captain America has been largely praised.
Unfortunately for Mackie, his grand debut as the Star-Spangled Man was muddled by a film that underwent numerous delays, rewrites, and reshoots. Still, Brave New World has its fair share of fans.

Apparently, Chris Evans is one of those fans.
Chris Evans “Loved” ‘Brave New World’
In a recent interview with E! News, Mackie was asked if he had heard from Evans, who played Captain America for eight years in the MCU.
While the actor admitted that he and Evans had not talked, he did reveal that Evans texted him after seeing Brave New World.

“I haven’t talked to him, I just go a text saying, ‘Good job,’ and that he loved the movie. I haven’t talked to him because we’ve both been running around. He’s in the middle of Europe somewhere, working.”
Anthony Mackie Will Suit Up Again
Although Brave New World’s box office performance did not meet Marvel’s standards, there is good news for Mackie.
With his Captain America set to take the lead in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, Mackie will get the opportunity to suit up again and show his mettle.
Perhaps, then, when the dust settles following the events of Secret Wars, Mackie will get another solo turn as Captain America, this time with a better script.
