Ryan Reynolds Crashes Marvel’s Hall H in X-Force Deadpool Costume
While the big Marvel reveal at San Diego Comic-Con was that Black Panther 3 and Ryan Gosling’s Ghost Rider will hit theaters in 2028, that wasn’t the only news coming out of Hall H.
Marvel’s showcase panel also saw the cast of Avengers: Doomsday assemble ahead of their multiversal adventure later this year.

When Kevin Feige took the stage to present new Doomsday footage, he was joined by the studio’s biggest stars.

There was also, however, one Marvel star in the audience.
Ryan Reynolds’ Surprise Appearance
During Marvel’s Comic-Con panel, Ryan Reynolds appeared in the audience wearing Deadpool’s gray X-Force suit.

Joking that his name was Ricky and he was “cosplaying hard,” Reynolds then directed his question to Paul Rudd.
“Where is Thor, and why was he crying?” Reynolds asked.

“He’s a Wrexham fan?” Rudd quipped, referring to the soccer team that Reynolds owns.
Continuing his questions, Reynolds questioned Marvel’s methods.
“This seems like an awfully expensive way to announce a film. When do you start filming?”

This question spurred Robert Downey Jr. into action.
“It’s in the can, bro. Look around you. Did you bump your head?”
Deadpool seemed deflated by the news.

“I see. So there’s no additional photography, no overages, hot costs — maybe last minute additions?” The star then said abruptly, “No further questions. Happy Hogan, fetch the Audi. We’re leaving.”
Is the Gray Costume a Hint?
To this point, Marvel has yet to announce that Deadpool will return for Avengers: Doomsday. Rumors have continued to persist, however, that he will pop up.

Perhaps more notable than Reynolds’ questions was the suit he was wearing.
The gray Deadpool costume comes from his time in X-Force.

Could this choice have been a hint that the next Deadpool film will see the iconic team assemble?
For now, we will have to wait and see.
