The Eternals Arrive in November
On November 5th, 2021, Eternals arrives in theaters, and these 10 posters give us a better look at their costumes.
Eternals has been a long time coming. The movie was officially announced in July 2019 at SDCC 2019, with an expected release date of November 6th, 2020.
But like Black Widow, which was also originally scheduled for an earlier release, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic caused inevitable delays.
While principal photography for Eternals took place in late 2019 and early 2020, wrapping in February, re-shoots for the movie took place in October 2020.
In May 2021, we finally got our first look at the movie, thanks to a teaser trailer that skyrocketed to 77 million views in just one day.
Much to Anticipate
There’s loads to look forward to when Eternals arrives in theaters this autumn.
The movie is written and directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao, who recently appeared on the Red Carpet at the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings world premiere in Hollywood, California.
And the score is by Ramin Djawadi, who previously provided the score for Iron Man, the movie that launched the MCU back in 2008.
Plus, costume designer Saran Kohli has shared that he worked on an important scene in the highly anticipated movie.
Meet the Eternals
The MCU keeps getting bigger. And when Eternals arrives on November 5th, 2021, some of the strangest heroes yet are hitting the big screen, with the newest ensemble cast ready to spice things up!
The cast includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.
However, much of the Eternals storyline will center on Sersi, who has the ability to manipulate non-sentient matter. “She can change things, and she’s sort of helped humanity along the way, in little ways,” Chan explained to Entertainment Weekly.
Furthermore, Chan revealed that her character is posing as a museum curator on Earth and dating a human, aka Dane Whitman the Black Knight, played by Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington… hmmmm, this is very interesting, Marvel Blog True Believers!
