Teyonah Parris teases THE MARVELS to be ‘EPIC’
In an interview with Seth Meyers of Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday, August 28th, 2021, Teyonah Parris teased that The Marvels, the sequel to Captain Marvel starring Parris as Monica Rambeau, Brie Larson as Carol “Captain Marvel” Danvers, and Iman Vellani as Kamala “Ms. Marvel” Khan is shaping up to be “epic”!

Parris appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote her appearance in Candyman, currently in theaters, a horror movie that was also directed by The Marvels director Nia DaCosta (and we mean horror, Marvel Blog True Believers – just like the original Candyman in 1992, this remake, from a script by Jordan Peele, is not for the faint of heart).

Parris appeared via video, as she is currently filming The Marvels in London. Previously, Larson has commented that the set is a “private Disneyland.”
Meanwhile, rumors around the cast continue to swirl, with Korean actor Park Seo-Joon rumored to be part of the cast. Who might he be? As you might expect, Marvel Blog True Believers, I have a few ideas!
When last we saw Parris’s Rambeau, it was in the mid-credits sequence of WandaVision, in which she was seemingly recruited by a Skrull agent to journey to outer space. And I feel pretty confident in saying it was no coincidence that this scene took place in a movie theater!
Impending Team-Up
In the after-credits scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home, we got to see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) on a spaceship filled with Skrull agents. Does this hint that the one-time director of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be waiting for Parris when she arrives at her destination?
