Multiverse of Madness
This poster teases the arrival of Dr. Strange, who has yet to appear in an episode of the new animated series.
While we’ve seen plenty of “grounded Marvel” (thanks to episodes like “What If… the World Lost its Mightiest Heroes?”), and had a taste of Cosmic Marvel (as T’Challa took to the stars in “What If… T’Challa had Become a Star-Lord?”), we haven’t seen the mystical side of the multiverse yet.
However, this poster hints at the arrival of Mystical Marvel to the animated series, and we’re sure we don’t have to bring up the fact that this opens up all kinds of narrative possibilities!
Will the Darkhold factor in (that’s the Book of the Damned, Wanda)?
And we don’t know if you noticed, Marvel Blog True Believers, but in the recently released Spider-Man 3: No Way Home trailer, we saw what just might be an alternate version of Strange… and one who looks a lot like the version featured in the new character poster of Doctor Strange Supreme.
Too farfetched to be true? You never know in the MCU! Especially when the creators behind What If…? have already conceded that we could see sequels to these stories… even life-action sequels are on the table!
