AMC and Sony Offering NFT’s For Those Who Purchase Advance Tickets to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’
It appears as though the latest crypto craze is expanding to the area of film studios as it has recently been reported that AMC theaters and Sony Pictures are offering NFT’s for those who purchase advance tickets to Spider-Man: No Way Home.
One of the most talked-about and theorized entries into the robust Marvel Cinematic Universe is now getting involved in the cryptocurrency space, as the film juggernauts are offering a new kind of rewards for those who are purchasing advanced tickets to their newest film.
According to reports from CNBC, and verified by AMC head, it appears as though AMC and Sony are offering 86,000 NFT’s- or non-fungible tokens- to those who purchase advance tickets to Spider-Man: No Way Home.
CNBC, when covering the news, wrote about the newest craze of digital currency, stating, “Brands big and small are looking for new ways to connect with consumers and, potentially, boost some sales. With crypto-collectibles soaring in popularity, marketers have latched on to the next digital wave.”

Announced officially on Twitter by AMC CEO Adam Aarons, who noted that the collaboration with Sony Pictures would result in, “more than 100 unique spider-Man NFT’s,” which would be made available to those who purchased advance tickets to Spider-Man: No Way Home.
NFT’s are the latest craze as they are digitalized assets recorded within a blockchain; with CNBC noting that “each NFT is unique and acts as a collector’s item that can’t be duplicated, making them rare by design.
For Marvel fans, this is an exceptionally exciting offer that allows them to gain such a rare and unique part of Spider-Mans history; one of the very first NFT’s made for the character, and for the MCU as a whole.
What makes the offer even better is that the only requirement is to buy advanced tickets to perhaps the most anticipated MCU film in the studios’ long history; something that we certainly will be getting, NFT or not!
