‘Daredevil’ and Other Marvel Series Reportedly Leaving Netflix
The last remnants of Marvel Entertainment’s various series are slowly evaporating as Daredevil and other Marvel series are reportedly leaving Netflix.
Despite being one of the best Marvel series ever created, Daredevil and other Marvel Netflix series will be forced to find new streaming home in the next few weeks.
Although the various series were hit or miss for the streaming service, it appears as though the MArvel Netflix collaboration will be all but concluded this March 1st; which stands as the final day that the various Marvel Netflix series will be available on the Netflix service.
A report from CBR.com indicates that Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders series will all be exited from Netflix on the first of March, with no insight yet as to where- or if- these series will be available in the future.
The relationship between the two media giants had been continuously strained, as Marvel Entertainment- the sect of Marvel Studios responsible for many of Marvel’s television projects- has slowly morphed into the greater whole of Marvel Studios.
With these various series as the last remnants of Marvel’s traditional exposure in the television market, it appears as though the future lies in what Marvel has done in terms of their Disney+ series.
2021 stood as a brand new era of Marvel content on Disney+, although many fans are left wondering what that means for the various Netflix series that boast a strong and dedicated fan base.
With Charlie Cox returning as the iconic Matt Murdoch in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Vincent D’Onofrio’s menacing Wilson Fisk returning in Hawkeye; it is safe to assume that the Netflix characters still exist in the current MCU, with the main question being as to what role they will play.
Marvel’s various content on ABC- including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter– eventually finding its way on Disney+ for a brand new audience, we can only hope that Daredevil, Punisher, and other Marvel series leaving Netflix will follow suit and be made available on the Disney exclusive streaming service.
