‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Featurette Reveals Deleted Scene Between Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe
The biggest film of the past two years gave fans a celebration of Spider-Man’s 20-year history on the big screen, yet, a new featurette reveals a deleted scene between original hero and villain, Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe.
There are few comic book films that have been as big and as successful- both critically and financially- like Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The latest in the MCUs iteration of the character, the film sees Tom Hollands Peter Parker face off against the multiversal implications of his tampering with reality; setting off a chain reaction that convolutes every alternate reality version of Spider-Man.
The movie was a love letter to every fan of Spider-Man, and the essence of what makes Peter Parker so beloved, but also brought back characters that have been integral to the evolution of the hero on the big screen.
Spider-Man: No Way Home gave fans the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in their roles as Peter Parker, while also bringing back some of the classic villains that they encountered from their various films.
Yet, it appears as though fans may have just missed out on a legendary face-off in the latest film, as a brand new Spider-Man: No Way Home featurette seemingly reveals a deleted scene between Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe.

Both characters were key to the success of the original Spider-Man film, with Tobey Maguire originating the role of Peter Parker on the big screen, and Dafoe bringing to life the menacing and terrifying entity that was the Green Goblin.
It appears as though the two characters originally had a face-off of sorts that was meant to take place on the villain’s iconic glider; with the behind-the-scenes video showing the two standing face to face on the vehicle.

We have no answers on if the scene is actually what it seems, nor why it was cut, but it would’ve been incredible to see the two stand against one another again; as the history between the two would’ve made for an unforgettable movie moment.
