RUMOR: Could Wolverine Be in Store for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’?
A surprising brand new report suggests that Wolverine could be featured in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
There are few films in the history of the MCU that has been as speculated about and theorized as the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel.
Having long been considered a lynchpin of Marvel’s lauded phase four, the Sam Raimi-helmed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will carry the MCU deep into the multiverse, and what should be the concluding project for the concepts throughline through this current phase.
Starting with Loki, and continuing on through Spider-Man: No Way Home, the upcoming Doctor Strange film will explore the deteriorating multiverse, like alternate realities and brand new characters all collapse in on the highly anticipated adventure.
With all of the excitement that has engulfed MCU fans, the film has also been among the most theorized films; with fans uncertain about the various Marvel variants that could appear in the trailer; with debuts like Captain Carter, Professor X, and a Captain Marvel variant already confirmed.
A brand new report coming via CBR.com suggests that Wolverine could be among the debuting characters in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as a variant of the mutant is like to make an appearance in the film.
The report states that The Illuminerd’s Marvel insider Joseph Deckelmeier has verified via some sources that the beloved mutant and X-Men member will be making his MCU debut in the upcoming film, with a lot unknown about the appearance, he only assures that Hugh Jackman will not be playing him.
It is only a matter of time until Wolverine makes his way into the MCU- along with many of the adored mutant Marvel heroes- the big question on fans’ minds is who will portray him, as Hugh Jackman spent over a decade as a fan-favorite comic book actor in his tenure as the character.
It will be interesting what role, if any, Wolverine plays in the upcoming sequel, but we are very intrigued to see who will be inheriting the famed adamantium claws.
