Marvel Unveils Official Synopsis for ‘Echo’
One of the most exciting new series for the MCU that many fans had assumed would be a long way away may be closer than initially assumed, as Marvel unveils for official synopsis for Echo.
AS has become the norm for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is constant movement in regard to projects being developed.
With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness entering its third week as already one of the biggest films of the year, and both Ms. Marvel and Thor: Love and Thunder slated to arrive next month, the MCU is already giving fans insight into what they can expect next.
An enigmatic series has just gotten a little bit clearer, as the studio has followed up the first look at its eponymous character with some more brand new information, as Marvel unveils the official synopsis for Echo.
Based on the character of Maya Lopez, who debut as the main antagonist of 2021’s Hawkeye, the series is set to be one of the most interesting; with the synopsis confirming that assumption.
First reported by ComicBook.com, Marvel has revealed the following as the series synopsis;
“The origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.”
What MCU fans have seen thus far of Alaqua Cox’s Lopez has been incredibly intriguing, as the death of her father led her into the arms of Wilson Fisk; the notorious Kingpin, who acted as the child’s guardian throughout her young adult life.
There are many who believe Fisk could make a return in the series, and with Daredevil announced as an upcoming project for the MCU, it would make sense for both characters to be reestablished in the upcoming Echo series.
And we cannot wait
