‘Eternals’ Star Talks Potential Sequel
It was one of the most controversial entries in the vast history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now actor from the films feels like it would be worth it to “Roll the dice” on a follow-up; as one Eternals star talks about a potential sequel.
There is perhaps no Marvel Studios film that has invited mixed reviews as much as the Chloe Zhao- helmed Eternals film has.
A Marvel Cinematic Universe film that was quite unlike anything that Marvel had released up to that point, it challenged the Marvel mold as many of us understand ing; for better, or worse.
That hasn’t stopped some fans fo clamoring for different sequels, or rumors surfacing that Marvel still has a desire to continue the story of these characters; with the untold story of the characters that arrived in the post-credit scene, Star Fox and Pip the Troll, often being a big reason why.
This has led to one of those performers being asked if they’d see it worth it to continue their story, as Eternal’s Star Patton Oswalt talks about the potential sequel.
In a recent interview Interview with ComicBook.com regarding his brand new comic book, Minor Threats, Pip himself was asked about a potential spin-off sequel with Harry Styles Eros and his character.
Oswalt stated, “I have not heard those rumors. That would be amazing if it [the sequel was about Starfox and Pip]. because it just seems to me that every time Marvel has rolled the dice on these kind of B or C-level characters that everyone’s like, ‘Oh, who cares about them?’ That’s where they end up kind of really blossoming.”
He continued, “There’s Guardians of the Galaxy. I don’t know if you’ve seen the new Ms. Marvel show, but it is just an absolute delight. I mean, it’s such a great… and also, I’m a huge fan of both the Ant-Man movies.”
The actor concluded by stating, “I think those are fantastic and very, very underrated in terms of a Marvel and captured the spirit of those times. So if they did a movie about Starfox and Pip, that would be… Those would be dice I’d like to roll. Why not?”
Seeing the adventures of Starfox and Pip would be something that absolutely interests us, and we hope that Marvel continues to explore this very unexplored world.
