Marvel Debuts Jane Foster Anthem for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’
She is undoubtedly one of the most exciting parts of the upcoming fourth Thor solo film, with the arrival of her superpowered alter ego being a long-awaited moment for fans of the comics; with the film just a few days away, Marvel debuts the Jane Foster Anthem for Thor: Love and Thunder.
There are countless reasons fans are tremendously excited for what is the first fourth solo film in Marvel history, and the continuation of a character that has firmly endeared themselves to Marvel fans, becoming one of the most popular characters the franchise has to offer.
With Taika Waititi returning to behind the camera orchestrating the follow-up to his critically beloved Thor: Ragnarok, Valkyrie and Korg returning to their second installment of the Thor franchise, and the arrival of the villainous Gorr the God Butcher are all exciting reasons that make this film must-see
But perhaps none of those- outside of maybe Christian Bale’s MCU debut as Gorr- are as interesting as Natalie Portman’s return as Jane Foster; a return that sees her embrace the superpowered alter ego, The Mighty Thor.
Not only has Portman not been present since the rather underwhelming Thor: The Dark World, but fans haven’t seen the character of Jane Foster, or been made aware of her whereabouts since the end of that previous second film.
With fan excitement for her arrival at an all-time high, Marvel has debuted the Jane Foster anthem from Thor: Love and Thunder; officially releasing the Michael Giacchino-composed ‘Mama’s Got a Brand new Hammer.’

The song is set to arrive in the upcoming film and definitely aligns with the 1980’s inspired soundtrack that has permeated throughout the promotional campaign of the movie thus far; adding a fantastic touch to the direction that the score has been going.
It is a fantastic song choice, and it makes us incredibly excited to see what else Taika and company have in store for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
