‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Rumored to Feature Beloved Marvel Hero
There have been a lot of leaks coming from the promotional campaign of the delayed sequel to Sony’s fantastic animated epic, but this may trump them all, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is rumored to feature a beloved Marvel hero
Few comic book adaptations have been able to achied the massive heights that were achieved by the original Sony animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse; a massive epic that saw the feature film debut of Miles Morales.

The film was brimming with creativity and crafted a story that truly celebrated the greatest creation in the history of the comic book medium, and honored the legacy of Peter Parker by honoring his impact on every generation- both in the universe and outside of it.
With fans anxiously awaiting the arrival of the highly-anticipated sequel film, they were met with the unfortunate delay of the project by Sony; who have already announced that the project will receive two follow-ups to conclude a trilogy of Spider-Verse films.

The delay did have some unforeseen circumstances, however, as a lot of the promotional material expected to arrive during the initial release window has continued to make its way into stores, giving fans some insight into just what they can expect out of the film.
And one potential leak from these promotional items could be bigger than all the rest, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is rumored to feature one beloved Marvel hero; a Spider-Man clone that has been one of the best heroes that the mantle has ever seen.

According to a leak from a Twitter account- reported by ComicBook.com– a Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse board game featuring the iconic Scarlet Spider.
The Scarlet Spider- known by fans as Ben Reilly- is a famed clone of Peter Parker who was just the centerpiece of the massive Beyond story arc, and could present a very interesting addition to the ever-growing Spider-Verse franchise.

The art looks as though Reilly will occupy a very comic-accurate universe in the film, and could be a key piece in the development of this Spider-Man team to help combat whatever threat emerges.
