The world of Comic Books has existed since the person reading this- or writing this- has been alive, and through that time there have been all semblance of artists that have given their talent to the ever-growing pantheon of content that we’ve read.

Some have been experimental and pushed the boundaries of what a comic should look like- such as the brilliant Tradd Moore- and some have given their unique trademark aesthetic to the prototypical comic book format- like a John Romita Jr.
Yet, throughout the massive history of this medium, and this industry, there are few names as hallowed as Alex Ross; and few who are still as brilliant, and as relevant, as they have ever been.

Ross first began in comics in 1990, and has worked with both Marvel and that two-letter competitor, throughout his extensive work in the industry; and since he first put pencil to paper, there have been few equals to what the brilliant artist has done on the canvas.
And with the hundreds of covers he’s created, and the countless pages he has orchestrated, the most recent work of his career proves that he is, still, among the best working; as the brand new Fantastic Four variant covers are proof that Alex Ross is still the greatest.

The covers in question are for the brand new Ryan North and Iban Coello Fantastic Four series in which the Thing and his wife Alicia get trapped in a time loop and must rely on Marvel’s first family to get them out; and the three released variant covers are a sight to behold.
featuring the team in a brand new costume, Ross’s signature painted style shows off the realism- and surrealism- of the comic book world in perfect tandem, and the simplistic yet immensely stylish redesigned logo is such a brilliant evolution its shocking that no one has crafted it before.
