Marvel Producer Nate Moore Reveals When ‘Black Panther 3’ Will Hit Theaters
Since Denzel Washington, of all people, let the cat out of the bag and revealed that a Black Panther 3 was in development, fans have been eagerly awaiting news on when the film will hit theaters.
Following Washington’s slip-up, Marvel confirmed that the third Black Panther film was in development last December, with Ryan Coogler once again helming the project. Further details on Black Panther 3, however, have remained scarce.

Now, Marvel producer Nate Mooore has weighed in.
When Will ‘Black Panther 3’ Hit Theaters?
In a recent interview with Variety at the Captain America: Brave New World premiere, Marvel producer Nate Moore confirmed that Black Panther 3 was on the way. He admitted, however, that it might be a while before we see the film land in theaters.

“We’ve had early talks with Coogler. He’s finishing up Sinners, which is going to be an amazing film, and then we’ll get into it after that,” Moore said. “It won’t be before Avengers. That’s our next big thing. Obviously, this year we have Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four all on the road to Avengers but we’ll get back to Wakanda as soon as we can.”
Marvel Is Focused on the End of the Multiverse Saga
As Moore astutely notes, Marvel’s focus is currently on laying the groundwork for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. As the latter film will not hit theaters until May 7, 2027, it sounds like it will be a few years before audiences return to Wakanda.

Moore’s comments also echo his statements to Screen Rant about the progress of the film. When asked about Denzel Washington’s role in Black Panther 3, the producer had this to say:
“We honestly haven’t had really substantive creative conversations with Ryan, mostly because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which is gonna come out this year and is gonna be great. So again it’s too early to say, but obviously if an actor of the caliber of Denzel Washington wants in, we’re gonna figure out a way to make that happen.”

So, while fans can rejoice that Black Panther 3 is in development, it will likely be a while before the film hits the big screen.
