‘Armor Wars’ Reportedly Filming Sooner Than Expected
It is an MCU series that is among the most enigmatic and mysterious of the entire Phase Four slate, but it could very well be on its way quicker than anticipated, as Armor Wars is reportedly set to start filming sooner than expected.
The year was always primed to be a return to form for the lauded Marvel Cinematic Universe and the unstoppable entire that has been building from Marvel Studios for more than a decade.
With the COVID-19 Pandemic bringing the entire industry to a screeching halt, Marvel was not sparred, as it was forced to reassess how it went about releasing the massive projects on the tight schedule that it was so accustomed to keeping.
2022 is the first year that things feel like they are back to normal, and with massive successes in the form of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness it feels like Phase Four is thoroughly underway.
On the Disney+ side of things, Marvel has been moving at a similar breakneck speed, with Ms. Marvel currently underway, and following the incredible success that was Moon Knight, Hawkeye, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
A project that is slated as one of the next up for the streaming platform is apparently on the fast track to its scheduled release, as the upcoming Armor Wars is reportedly set to begin filming sooner than many previously expected.
It was a development reported first by ComicBook.com, which noted a change in the bio for one Marvel Studios director; a bio that read that the Don Cheadle-starring series will begin filming, “This fall.”
The bio in question is for producer Jenna Berger, and it states that she is,
“an executive at Marvel Studios on the production and development team where shes been for the last three years. She most recently produced the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and is not in development one. anew series starring Don Cheadle. which will film in Atlanta this fall.”
We still know very little about the upcoming Marvel series set to focus on James Rhoades, and the fall out of Tony Starks armor falling into the wrong hands, but it is certainly a series that should be perfect for every Iron Man fan out there.
