‘Hawkeye’ Filming Has Wrapped!
Jeremy Renner shared a post on social media today announcing that filming on his new Disney+ series, Hawkeye, has wrapped.
See You Real Soon Clint!
Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton in the series set to premiere later this year. Having been in the MCU since 2010, Barton gained significance in 2012. Hawkeye will dive deep into Barton’s legacy and explore his days as Ronin, something that was merely touched upon in Avengers: Endgame.
Details have been scarce, but we do know that Hailee Steinfeld will play Kate Bishop. We also know that Bishop and Barton will team up to fight something or someone.
Hawkeye will follow Clint Barton as he prepares to pass the baton to Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate Bishop becomes the third character – and first woman – to assume the Hawkeye name.
More Character Introductions
Viewers will be introduced to Echo, played by Alaqua Cox. The Daredevil character, who is deaf, boasts “photographic reflexes,” meaning she can mimic the movements and abilities of others by “looking” at them.
Echo, also known as Maya Lopez, began as a supporting character in the Daredevil comics. She has since become a standout in her own right. In fact, she also once took up the guise of Ronin! Her intriguing story has earned her another spin-off series.
Also joining the series is Florence Pugh. She is expected to reprise her role as Yelena Belova, who she will first portray in Black Widow, which will be released in theaters and on Disney+ in July.
Hawkeye is expected to premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2021.
